One balance to build, run, and grow your game.
Until now, building with Studio's AI has been mostly free. The earliest creators on Run.Game shaped what this could be, and free credits were our way of saying thanks.
Frontier AI models cost real money to run, so we're introducing usage plans. They're built to work in creators' favor, and pair with revenue share, so that as you succeed, your costs will be covered by your revenue.
Here's how credits work, what each plan includes, and what's coming.
How credits work
You have one credit balance, and it pays for everything you do across Run.Game in three places.
Building in Studio. As you create your game with AI, every generation draws from your balance. Code and chat are metered by how much you use. Image, audio, and video each cost a fixed amount, shown before you generate.
Running your live game. When your published game calls AI while people play it, those calls run through the Run.Game SDK and draw from the same balance. That covers an AI-driven character, on-the-fly generation, or a system that reacts to each player. You own the game, so you cover the AI it uses, the way you'd cover any backend cost.
Platform services (coming soon). The same balance will cover the other services we offer to help your game succeed, starting with marketing it to players.
You can track spend in your usage dashboard, and every plan refreshes credits on a schedule. The Free plan gives you 100 credits a day, which reset daily and don't roll over. Paid plans refresh monthly, and each allotment stays good for a set window: 30 days on most plans, 90 days on Power and Max.
The plans

Credits per dollar go up at every tier, so larger plans cost less per credit.
What your plan will unlock in the future
Credits are what you spend. Your plan sets how much you can do with them. More of this arrives as we roll the tiers out.
More capable models. Higher plans unlock more capable AI for complex reasoning and architecture, alongside the fast models you'll use for quick iteration.
Higher priority. As you move up tiers, your generations move toward the front of the queue, so you wait less.
AI across the SDK. Your plan extends beyond Studio into the Run.Game SDK, giving your shipped games the same AI at runtime.
Marketing built in. You'll be able to spend credits to promote your game and bring in real players.
When you need more
As you're running low, we'll notify you and give you the option to top up your credit balance from your earned revenue or through credit purchase packages.
Your revenue
When your game earns money through Run.Game, it flows into your account, so you can reinvest in your next build or cash out. All creators keep 70% of what their games make. Founders keep 80%. You can read more about revenue share here.
When you need more
As your balance runs low, we'll let you know and give you two options: top up from your earned revenue, or buy a credit package.
Earning credits back
Buying won't be the only way to get credits. We're building ways to earn them back for the things that grow your game and the platform: sharing your work, hitting player milestones, and completing quests that bring real players in.
